According to Jacob & Co., allotted time doesn’t fly, it floats
For the first time in Geneva, the master designers at Jacob & Co. have created an ingenious interpretation of a classic regulator complication, subverting some of the rules of the method in the most striking way.
To keep it simple, a "regulator" is a method of timekeeping (starting with clocks and pocket watches) that separates the functions of hours, minutes, and seconds and displays each function on a separate face on a watch dial.
In fact, due to their inherent accuracy, regulator clocks are often used as real-time references by watchmaking shops, even if they do not produce regulator copy luxury watches themselves.
However, transforming this ancient complication into a luxurious floating power work of art is beyond the reach of ordinary watch brands. No, that’s the job of a brand as eclectic and undisputedly technical as Jacob & Co.

Again, to keep it simple, the new Jacob & Co. Astronomia Régulateur is a 43mm 18k rose gold regulator watch. But, given the house's innovative and decorative tendencies, the "simple" part of its description ends here, as there is much more to the story.
Its floating 3D architecture and signature visual appeal—from component finishes to the vibrant blue and its red and gold colorways—are just the beginning of the extras the Astronomia Régulateur brings to the party. replica Tudor Black Bay
The oversized sapphire faceplate is domed along the top (of course) and curves along the sides of the 18mm-thick case, held in place by the gleaming frame of the red gold case (which features a downward-sloping top flange and an open structure lugs). Think of it like a museum case; it allows you to observe the watch itself.
Still, like all Jacob & Co. timepieces, the Astronomia Régulateur demands closer inspection, a look that reveals some impressive horological innovations to match the clever decoration.
Tudor Unveils Cycling-Themed Pelagos FXD Chronograph to identify Opening of Giro d'Italia
Tudor has launched a new watch in its expanding Pelagos FXD collection: typically the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Cycling Edition”. This new watch borrows the formula from final year's FXD launch of this particular Alinghi Red Bull Rushing team, but this time the focus is usually on Tudor's own riding a bike team, which makes its inicio at this weekend's Giro d'Italia. The Giro d'Italia is amongst the most important cycling races about the competitive calendar, and this brand new chronograph has a few smaller changes that may make it specially attractive to fans of the game. It strikes many of the exact same chords as last year's Alinghi launch, though, and might be indicative of a fresh, evolving strategy for how Tudor works with its sporting associates.
At the high level, this is essentially the very same watch as the Alinghi FXD Chronograph. They share a similar 43mm black carbon upvc composite case and are powered with the same MT5813 chronometer-certified activity. The differences, of course , are in the specifics. The new cycling edition incorporates a black dial with a good amount of red accents, a jerk to the colors of the Tudor cycling team. Instead of the twisting dive bezel on previous year's chronograph, we have a restricted 60-minute bezel here.
The most intriguing change, and the one I do think hardcore cyclists will be happiest about, is the tachymeter size, which has been designed with specific time periods of cycling in mind. Actually all other tachymeter scales about modern sports watches are able to measure the speed of autos. Bicycles are obviously distinctive vehicles with different timing demands, and it's really cool that Tudor went to the effort to make this excellent change.
The Pelagos FXD Chrono feels like the watch that would be ideal associated with cycling, as really almost certainly the purest sporting activities watch in Tudor's substantial collection. The case is made of light and portable and durable carbon, the issues make sense, and the FXD software in general feels right at property on the trail. Interestingly, by simply changing the case material, this kind of watch goes from a real tool diver to one gowns clearly aimed at sporting passions. In recent years, Tudor has been working with assorted entities (both individuals along with organizations) in the sports entire world, and the Carbon Case FXD now feels they can have a determining role in future strategies.
